CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (May 8, 2026) – Beginning the week of May 11, 2026, construction will begin at Randy Spence Park. A temporary fire station will begin construction in the open grass area of the park. The station is expected to be onsite for approximately 14-16 months while rebuilding of the permanent fire station occurs on El Jobean Rd. All areas of the park will remain open for public use except for the construction area. Park patrons are asked to use caution while navigating park amenities.
