The Charlotte County Economic Development Office presented the Excellence in Business Award to Monarch Sign Factory, recognizing the company’s leadership, growth, innovation and longstanding commitment to Charlotte County.
Monarch Sign Factory’s Port Charlotte business history began in 1982. Mike Bladorn joined the company in 2001 and purchased it in 2006. Under his leadership, Monarch has grown from two employees to 27 full-time employees, provides employee benefits and continues to invest in Charlotte County.
As the marketplace changed, the company evolved from traditional printing into signs, wraps and visual communications. Monarch Sign Factory now specializes in commercial signage and vehicle wraps for businesses throughout Charlotte County, Southwest Florida and beyond.
The company’s community involvement includes helping sponsor and build a home with Charlotte County Habitat for Humanity. In 2024, Monarch Sign Factory launched its Summer of Gratitude, raising support for C.A.R.E., E.A.R.S. and Pregnancy Solutions. C.A.R.E. has recognized the company as a Community Partner. Bladorn also contributes time through involvement with the YMCA and local business and civic organizations.
The award recognizes Monarch Sign Factory’s sustained role in the local business community and its continued investment in the people and organizations that make Charlotte County home.
