CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (Sept. 19, 2026) – The hiring event scheduled for Sept 21 at Centennial Park Recreation Center is canceled. Charlotte County Recreation will be hosting a hiring event at Centennial Park Recreation Center located at 1120 Centennial Blvd., in Port Charlotte from 5-8 p.m., Monday, Sept. 21.
The event is for individuals interested in learning more about current employment opportunities within our recreation and aquatics facilities. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with supervisory staff, learn about available positions, and interview during the event.
There are a variety of full-time, part-time, and seasonal positions, including recreation staff, lifeguard staff, supervisory positions, and other opportunities available.
“We’re looking for dependable, positive people who enjoy helping others and want to be part of a great team” said Recreation Supervisor Joele Kirkpatrick. “Working in recreation is rewarding because you get to make a difference in your community while having fun and meeting new people.”
