Replacement of the existing playground equipment that has reached it's of life cycle. This will include the 5-12 and 2-5 ages play structures. The existing shade canopies will remain and be incorporated into the new equipment layout. Final design's from 3 vendors will be shared with the community so they can vote on the most liked concept. The design with the most votes is what will be installed.

GC Herring Phase I design and construction will include two (2) playgrounds including shade structures, one ages 2-5 and one ages 6-12, one large pavilion and two small pavilions, one tennis court, one basketball court, fitness hub with shade structure, multi-purpose field area and exercise trail.

The site suffered significant waterfront and structural damage, including erosion, seawall displacement, and exposed mangrove roots. Several piers were damaged, along with the boat ramp, storm drain protections, and shoreline. Storm surges caused waterway fill, requiring dredging and reinforcement. Additional damage affected parking bumpers, containers, and signage.
